Softwires PCP 2000
PCP 2000 (Printed Circuit Professional) has been the backbone of Stevenage Circuits since 2001. This ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system has been integrated into every stage of the business, from the initial request for quotation to the printed delivery note at despatch, and everything in between!
The system is modular, with Stevenage Circuits utilising such applications as Sales Management for quotations and orders, Production and Process Engineering which includes online job tracking and automatic route card / build sheet generation, Data Capture from the manufacturing cycle, Quality Management, Stock Control, Sales Contact Management and Document Management.
For an example of the complex product engineered through the system and the reports that can be generated, please have a look at the build detail below. It shows a complex Polyimide rigid multilayer product with several stages of blind and buried vias:

Stevenage Circuits is very proactive in developing the software functionality in conjunction with the Softwires team, and many improvements have been made over the past few years. One notable enhancement is the MPC (Mobile Production Control) facility, where the Production Control staff carry mobile devices (PDAs) that connect LIVE to the PCP 2000 database via the internal wireless network. This enables the Production Control team to find critical information on delivery times, production routes, job tracking and order progress, anywhere at anytime!
